Take a look at the 2,000-year-old slotxo street food store in Pompeii, archaeologists have discovered street food and drink stalls in Pompeii with all utensils and ingredients.
Reuters reports that archaeologists have discovered a 2,000-year-old street food and beverage restaurant in Pompeii, a city that was buried under volcanic ash after a volcanic eruption in 79 AD.
The shop was built with frescoes. The counter is decorated with colorful paintings depicting animals that are thought to be part of the staple sold, such as chickens and ducks. A bronze bowl called "Patera", a ceramic jar used for making soups, wine bottles, and jars.
Including traces of food that are about 2,000 years old, anthropologist Valeria Amoretti revealed that traces of pork, beef, fish and snails were found in the container. Showed that many animals were used in cooking
Archaeologists estimate this was a street food stall for the Roman people roaming thousands of years ago, and Massimo Ozanna, director of the Pompeii Archaeological Park, said the discovery was a very special one.
