The spamming issue is out of control. As a result of all the spammers, these forums are just a mess and almost useless to anyone who actually wants to use them for their intended purpose. Below I've listed some recent spammers. They post one-liners that at first seem to be on-topic, but are actually...

Hi Legend, welcome. I am 27, and also have joint inflammation issues. After changing my diet, mine are fairly well under control. Your issues sound quite severe. The alkaline diet has a very good potential of helping you, I think. Best of luck. There seem to be a LOT of spammers on these forums late...

My younger brother has reversed his psoriasis with an alkaline diet. He has to adhere to it pretty strictly, but it works. At first it just started on his elbows, but it started spreading, so that by the time he started the diet, he had it almost all over his body. He isn't using Kangen water or any...

I wouldn't do more than a pinch of baking soda per 8 oz water. I personally do about 1/4 t. per day, and about 1/2 t. per day of Tri Salts, which is similar to the alkaline mineral powder sold by the Youngs.

Hi Peggygee, I am sticking to it about 80% of the time, but not 100% yet. I am looking to find someone online (since I have doubts of finding someone in real life) to be a "buddy" to be accountable to, and for, in order to help me stick to it all the time. I would say maybe the simplest way to get s...

For those who are taking B12 supplements, there are two forms it typically comes in. The more common form is cyanocobalamin, but the better-absorbed form is methylcobalamin. I take Jarrow B-Right capsules, which include the methylcobalamin form of B12. I don't know how alkalizing they are, but I wou...

Hi Lisa, I'm not an expert, but if I were in your situation, I might try to communicate the issue to my inlaws, explaining why you want your daughter to eat an alkalizing diet. Hopefully they would respect your authority as her mother, and be supportive of that. Before she goes on another trip with ...

Hi monica99, welcome. I have been eating this way for just a short while, just under a month. Your concern about nutrients is understandable, since we are all taught as children that we should eat certain amounts from these certain specified food groups, or else we won't be getting enough of fill-in...

Michelle, that's awesome you've had such good results in the first month of eating alkalarian. I've been following this diet for nearly that long, but not with every single meal. I would like to commit as firmly as you have, and not slip up. I have joint issues that I KNOW are due to too much acidit...

Need an alkalarian buddy, for accountability and support

Is there anybody who is ready to do this diet ALL THE WAY, with 80% alkalizing, and 20% acidifying foods? I am looking for someone to be accountable to, and to hold accountable, in turn. I am absolutely ready to hold myself to this permanently. I feel strongly that this is the right way for me to be...

arthritis from protein and water

So I have been following the diet for a week now. I have the most bizarre pattern of arthritic pain, which the diet hasn't alleviated as of yet: My joints hurt after I eat anything abundant in protein, including poultry, fish, and legumes. I also have the joint pain after drinking water. I don't hav...

How is sugar acidifying when it ought to be neutral?

Refined white sugar or sucrose, if we look at the levels of acid and alkaline minerals, looks to be pretty neutral, neither acdifying nor alkalizing. And yet, the claim is that sugar is very acidifying. Can someone explain this contradiction? What is the method behind determining how acidifying/alka...
