Ananda,
Your initial post stated: "For a couple years now, I believe I am suffering from GERD. Strong acid burning sensation that sometimes really grabs me, and I must "hold on" for a few moments, slowly breathe into it, and relax... It has been really intense, and a challenge to me, with my very alkaline diet, no junk food, etc. DGL Licorice works well .. and very quickly ... it kills the fire, but does not solve the problem."
Clearly, whatever you are doing is not effective in bringing you any relief (except temporary) from your pain. I'm guessing if diet and pee would do it, you wouldn't have made a post in the first place. As a matter of fact this water has been around for some time. There are no less than 4 locations world wide that have boasted for decades about "miracle healing water" coming from the ground. Tlacote, Mexico, Nordenau, Germany, Lourdes France and Delhi, India (check that one out on your next trek). You can google it and get more info than you care to read. Scientists were curious if there was something in common in all the sites (or if it was just some strong religious belief) so they did some research and found that each location had one thing in common. High concentrations of hydrogen in the water. Alkaline water. Go figure. As for the gangrene, 2.5pH strong acidic water has been used in Japanese hospitals for the past 30 years to treat gangrene, open bed sores and any other type of skin disorder. Just water.
Since you've tried just about everything else with no success, how 'bout you give me your zip code and I'll see if I can find you some FREE Kangen water in your area. I'm not suggesting you spend ANY money, just try the water. The water heals or cures absolutely nothing. It simply puts the body in a state where it can heal itself. Imagine that. If the water can help............... wouldn't it be nice to know?

the gerd thing has been on and off for past two years, and during that time I have also not been doing the pee drinking... altho am on it now, with almost no gerdy stuff now going on.
I think also my problem has been not drinking enuf water when in this country, as i live in the desert of NM, and don't carry water with me all the time, or even often enuf.
thanks for your offer, but no thanks. again, my feeling is to find what is out of sync., not look for specialized and expensive things.
If it is truly just about alkaline water, then why is not the entire world crippled without these expensive machines? It is NOT just about alkaline water. it is about diet, sufficient water intake, eating habits.. like late at night for night owls like myself .. especially in older bodies .. also NOT taking protein in the night meals, for it does not digest so easily in older bodies. etc.etc. _________________ anandababa |

Hey Mark,
also I just recently learned from a Nutritionist friend, and web-searching, that the two handfuls of blueberries for each smoothie is possibly a big part of the problem. The one downside of blueberries is that they prevent calcium absorption, thus calcium supplements and high calcium food should be taken 3 hours separately from BBerries. For past week, on cal-mag supplements and no blueberries, the gerdy has dropped BIG TIME.
Again, I think proper solutions and healing need to come from what's around us, and looking at what we are doing .. and do so as the body ages. That learned info is something we share world-wide with others. Expensive machines is not the answer .. and not a service to any but the wealthy and those too "whatever" to address their diet and behaviors.
btw... there are two of us who have seen your posts elsewhere, and the general sensation is that you are out to sell expensive machines, and that is the base you are coming from.
Mahatma Gandhi said it nicely .. "High Thinking, Simple Living". _________________ anandababa |

Would cutting back on meat and junk food help me lose weight? I'm 16 years old and 164-165 pounds. My goal is to lose 20-25 pounds and I was wondering if eating less meat and junk food would help and what else would help too.

Have you tried the Baking Soda in water? This may help the acid as well as provide assistance to the organs of digestion.
Lemons will assist these organs as well, but provide different nutrients and will either aggravate or assist the stomach initially being acidic in its first form. But will long term help as the body gets used to producing less acid to digest the lemon. Take it slow at first if the lemons aggravate rather than help initially Same rule applies to the Baking soda.
Use Turmeric and Marshmallow root with or without the BS and/or Lemon Juice. These heal the stomach and help the Liver and bile.
The calcium supplements you are taking also may be aggravating the situation, non-vegetable calcium is much harder to digest and the stomach will produce excess HCL to try and break it down.
Once things settle down, try to replace your meds with Hawthorn Berries, the research is extensive on this natural herb, it cleans the veins, arteries, rids cholesterol, rebuilds the heart and tissues among other things.
But don't take both the Hawthorn with the meds as the blood may be thinned too much doing both. Get things in order first with your stomach and talk to your doc about the Herb... the research is there and it's proven very beneficial in actual healing and not patch-up.
Ginger, Garlic, Rosemary, Cayenne, Black Pepper are good inclusions to your diet to assist the blood and cholesterol. Lesser known, but very effective are Burdock root, Walnut Hulls tincture, Red Yeast Rice, Red Clover, Guggul, Turmeric, and Alfalfa.
Keep us posted,

I am new to the alkaizing but I have started drinking more water today with IonLife drops in as they will alkalize it for me, every time I check my urine, no matter what time of day, I barely change the paper colour!
I have some serious work to do I know but my main concern is my Blood pressure, I can't get it to drop down its currently around 160/90 most days, I have a home monitor (Omron) and do keep a check on it.
Mydoctor just wants me to take meds for the rest of my life but I won't do it.
Can anyone advise me on how Alkalizing will help with my blood pressure, if it will? |

| Ananda- not sure if you are still following this thread, but you might consider that your body is not producing strong enough stomach acid. It seems counter intutitve since the result is an acidic response, but nonetheless their is a fair amount of evidence to showe this is the case with a lot of people. Betanine is often used with people with such a condition. Also the Heidelberg test is one of the best and most easily tolerated tests to determine this condition. The medical community in this country is reluctant to considere this condition and the hiedelberg test may be somewhat hard to find and is somewhat expensive, and there are other ways to determine if low stomach acid might be your problem. Martie Whittekin's book "Natural alternatives to Nexium, Maalox, Tagamet and Prilosec" is excellent on the subject. Good luck |

first of all acid reflux is usually caused by a congested colon, in most cases, all the herbal supplements and remedies will only give you temp
relief . also there is all this talk about kangen water which does work, but there is one problem with these machines, the plates that the water passes over is made of platinum which is very toxic, so all though you will get short term benefits , it is slowly poisoning your body, this has been
shown when persons who have been drinking kangen water for long
periods , when hair mineral analysis test are done they have picked up
high levels of platinum in the hair. one way is to use an alkalizer that is
angstrom minerals in bottled water. particle size of an angstrom mineral
is 254,000,000 th of an inch, you can fit one millon angstrom minerals
in one red blood cell. its almost ioo% absorbed into the cells. thats much
safer. cleaning the colon out is the frst thing that one should do for acid reflux, with the use of probiotics 14 billion twice daily with digestive
enzymes after each meal. stay away from meats , sugar, all dairy
white flour and all canned foods and coffee.
a liver detox is also necessary for good digestion as well as a gall bladder
flush. a live blood analysis will also pick up if the person is not chewing their food as well or lack enzymes.
regards
